Last Outpost Ranch is located in the western Santa Monica Mountains on 25 acres, 5 miles southwest of Westlake Village and 14 miles from the ocean.  We are within the Secondary Studio Zone.  The diversity of the topography, land and buildings offers a wide variety of choices for your film production or photo shoot. The western end of the property is contiguous to state park land, with unbroken views of pristine Carlisle Canyon.  We are a working creative community ranch with many different spaces and looks, and have hosted many different types of film productions over the years.

At Last Outpost Ranch, the focus is on the natural environment.  All of the main property shoot locations are outside.  If you are looking for scenic locations with no visible buildings, you can find them here.  Typical locations here include oak trees, sycamore trees, hills, three bridges, old, rustic outbuildings. big boulders, dirt roads, seasonal creeks and mountain vistas.  There are also structures and specialty sets available.  To see all of our locations, visit the Galleries page HERE.

Main parking can accommodate 30 cars, including box trucks, and our back lot parking can accommodate 10 cars.
